Jim Andersen, Owner of Cherry Valley Nursery and Landscape Supply, was appointed to the Board of Directors on January 10, 2005 to fill a vacant seat. As one of two at-large directors, he represents the Agency’s entire service area from Calimesa to Cabazon.

Jim Andersen was born in Lynnwood, raised in Anaheim, and graduated from high school in Blythe. He served in the US Navy in Vietnam as a member of the Seabees (Construction Battalion). He has lived in the Pass area since 1973. Formerly a successful framing contractor building commercial and public projects throughout Southern California, he has owned Cherry Valley Nursery since 1984. His hobbies include dirt biking and traveling.

Director Andersen is the Board Treasurer and a member of the Finance and Budget, Legal Issues, and Water Conservation and Education Committees. His term expires in November 2008. He and his wife Linda live in Cherry Valley.
