John Jeter, President of the Agency Board of Directors, was first elected to the Board in November 2000. He represents Division 3, which includes areas of both Banning and Beaumont.

He was born in Arkansas and raised in Louisiana. He has B.A. and J.D. degrees. The Marine Corps transferred him to Southern California in 1965. After a general law practice that included contract administration, procurement, and logistics, he went to work as an attorney for the California State Compensation Insurance Fund, from which he retired in 1998. He has lived in the Pass area for 12 years.

John Jeter is very active in civic affairs. He is past president of the Banning Kiwanis Club, a member of American Legion Post 428 and VFW Post 4417, and a member of the Banning-Beaumont Elks Lodge. He previously served on the Advisory Board of the Banning Senior Citizen Center. He served on the Riverside County Grand Jury 2000-2001. John is a member of the Board of Directors of ACWA/JPIA.

He currently serves on the Agency Legal Affairs Committee in addition to being President of the Board. He and his wife Pat live in the Sun Lakes community in Banning.

Re-elected without opposition in 2006, his term runs through November 2010.
